How do you think you would feel if you got ONE more hour of sleep?

The reality is most people don’t get the recommended seven to eight hours of sleep every night.

In fact, in his great book Why We Sleep, leading sleep scientist Matthew Walker tells us: “Two thirds of adults throughout all developed nations fail to obtain the recommended eight hours of nightly sleep.”

He continues by saying: “I doubt you’re surprised by this fact, but you may be surprised by the consequences. Routinely sleeping less than six or seven hours a night demolishes your immune system, more than doubling your risk of cancer.”


Not only does routinely sleeping less than six or seven hours a night demolish our immune system while more than doubling (!) our risk of cancer, it ALSO demolishes our Zest-Energy which diminishes our ability to show up as powerfully (and joyfully!) as we know we can in our Work and our Love.

Personal question time: How many hours of sleep did YOU get last night?
