Digital Sabbath #82
There’s more to life than screens.
Technology has become a way of life. We’re always on. Always connected.
And while that is awesome, sometimes we just need a break.
Enter: the Digital Sabbath.
One day. No screens. No phones. No computers. Just unplugged, real-life living.
It might feel like a stretch at first, and maybe it is.
You could start with just a few hours. Then try a full day with just a quick check-in in the morning before turning everything off until evening. Or you could go all-in and unplug completely.
Either way, it’s amazing what can unfold when you give yourself a real break. How energized you feel. How present. How clear.
So…
What would you do with the time?
You could rest. Head outside and enjoy nature. Finish that project you’ve been putting off. Declutter. Play. Volunteer. Or simply let the day unfold.
The only rule? All analog. No digital.
Take one day to reset. To remember that there’s more to life than the screens.
The only questions that remain are:
1. When will you schedule your Digital Sabbath?
2. What will you choose to do with that time?
If you’ve never tried it before, I promise you’ll feel so much more radiantly alive afterward.
It might take time to unwind. It might feel strange at first. But in the space, something shifts.
You feel a little less like a machine—always on—and a lot more human. More like yourself.
And that feeling?
It’s absolutely worth unplugging for.
You won’t regret it. You may just wonder why you haven’t done it more often.
Happy Digital Sabbathing! 🙂
