#241 Utter Commitment, Psychology Of

The Power of Focusing Your Life Force

The other day, Phil Stutz and I were chatting about the power of going ALL IN on ONE thing. We talked about how hard it is to do but how powerful it is once we do it.

Phil told me there’s something special about what he called “the psychology of utter commitment.”

The Psychology of Utter Commitment.

Isn’t that a beautiful phrase?

Something magical happens when we focus ALL of our energy into whatever we’ve decided (!) is most important to us.

Reminds me of Alexander Graham Bell and his great line: “Concentrate all your thoughts on the task at hand. The sun’s rays do not burn until brought to a focus.”

The sun’s rays don’t burn until they’re brought to a focus.

Have you ever grabbed a magnifying glass and tested that statement?

It’s a fun little experiment and it’s amazing to see how quickly you can burn a hole through a leaf when you focus the sun’s rays.

There’s SO MUCH latent potential in those rays just waiting for us to focus them in a given direction.

Same thing with our lives, of course.

And… How do we tap into that power?

Well, one way is to focus via The Psychology of Utter Commitment.

Going ALL IN.

Focusing on your ONE big, WILDLY IMPORTANT thing.

Which begs the question: What’s yours?

You won’t burn until you bring yourself to a focus.

Let’s do that.
