#107 Hērōs

Building Strength for 2

Speaking of heroes and the reverse indicators we can expect to see on our heroic, dragon-slaying quest(s), do you know what the word “hero” actually means?

In ancient Greek, the word “hērōs” meant PROTECTOR. Not “tough guy” or “killer of bad guys” but PROTECTOR.

A hero has strength for TWO.

A hero’s secret weapon?

LOVE. Compassion. Empathy. A hero, quite simply, cares.

A hero is willing to do the (often hard!) work of creating that strength for 2 (or for 20 or 200 or 2,000 or… 2m… or 2b (!) as the case may be).

Our world needs heroes today more than ever before.

We need YOU to be a hero.

Today’s +1 = Three questions:

Question #1: What do YOU look like at your heroic best? Bring that vision of your self-actualized self to mind. See it. Feel it. Be it.

Question #2: For whom will you have heroic strength? Bring them to mind. Make a sacred vow to show your love via who you are and how you show up in the world.

Question #3: What one little thing will you do TODAY to build that strength and take one more little step in the direction of your heroic potential?

+1. +1. +1.

Heroes show up. Moment to moment to moment. Let’s do that in service to something bigger than ourselves.
