I’m fascinated by what goes on in our minds—how our thoughts shape our perspectives, our beliefs, and the stories we live by.

Today’s adventure: Be mindful of your self-talk.

What are you saying to yourself throughout the day?

If you want to go all in, write some of it down. Grab a piece of paper, and anytime you catch a thought, jot it down. You can always toss it later, but there’s power in naming it and bringing it into the light.

So much of our self-talk is like the water we swim in—so familiar, we don’t even notice it. Yet it’s constantly shaping our mood, our energy, and our Soul Force.

Here’s a fun practice to try after this lesson…

Say out loud your Energy, Work, and Love Identities and Virtues. Say it like you mean it. Like you’re rewiring your brain in real time. Because you are.

Side note: Yes, it might feel weird at first. But truly, is it any less weird to walk around thinking, “I can’t do this. I’ll never figure it out. What’s wrong with me?”

When you really pause and reflect, that seems way more strange than saying, “I am Heroic. That’s like me to do awesome things. I’ve got this.”

And in truth, the latter is far closer to who we truly are—our Heroic essence—than the former ever was.

So back to the practice...

Say it like you mean it. Affirm the targets you’re committed to hitting today. Affirm your 101-day goal—out loud, with energy. Maybe even throw in a fist pump or happy dance, and you’re golden!

Let those affirmations shape your self-talk today.

And when a less-than-awesome thought pops up and your energy dips, just say, “Thanks for sharing…” then reaffirm who you are, what you’re committed to, and step into those Identities and Virtues—right there in that next moment.

Let’s bring a little more intention, levity, and lightness to your inner dialogue today.
