I rarely remember my dreams, and I rarely do anything before meditating, but I just woke up following a dream in which I was basically doing a +1 in front of a group of people (I kid you not—these are the dreams I have! 😆) so I decided to immediately create this.
Let’s get straight to work before I forget it… 😆
First off, I just checked my Oura scores. Oura tells me I’m a 94 Readiness, 94 Sleep.
I feel GREAT.
You know those days when you wake up and you’re like…“YESSSSSS!! Today’s going to be a GREAT day?!”
Well…
That’s me this morning.
And…
That’s who I want to be and how I want to feel EVERY morning—which is why I prioritize my sleep (and my eating and moving and breathing and focusing…) with such intensity.
There are a couple things I want to share here then we’ll get to the dream I just had in the NEXT +1.
I just read Peter Attia’s great book Outlive. Note coming soon.
In it, he talks about something called “baseline resetting.”
Basic idea?
Most people are so (subtly or significantly) tired all the time that they never knew/forgot what it feels like to feel GREAT.
He compares this to having two different kinds of TVs.
Imagine having one of the original, old-school color TVs. It’s obviously amazing. I mean, you can see little moving figures in a screen and everything which is a miracle.
But…
Until you get a new, super HD jumbo TV that nearly covers your entire wall, you don’t know how good it COULD be.
So…
You don’t really get what you’re missing.
As Seneca said: “The worse a person is, the less they feel it.”

Be honest.
Think back to the most recent time when you woke up feeling GREAT.
It might have been this morning or it might have been last week or it might have been a decade ago.

Perhaps most importantly…
Think about what, SPECIFICALLY(!), you WEREN’T doing.
Now…
What’s the ONE thing you KNOW you could START DOING and the ONE thing you KNOW you could STOP DOING that would help you wake up buzzing with energy tomorrow morning?!?
