Heroes!
Brian here with another note. 👋
I’m going to be sending out a number of emails in the next 30 days.
Fun fact: I’ll share the SCIENTIFIC reason in one of the emails soon.
Hint: It’s related to the foreword I wrote for a new book on the science of setting BIG GOALS!
As I mentioned in recent emails / social posts, this past week has been pretty Heroically fun.
There’s something about working with the truly ELITE that allows me to FULLY activate my best self as I go ALL IN embodying one of my top virtues: “Unapologetically intense.” 🤓
William James once said:
That’s EXACTLY how I feel in rooms like that—whether it’s with the Bulls, the Fighting Irish, SOCOM, NSW, the USS DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER or…
In a room full of Heroes at our Heroic Workshop Instructor / Activation Trainings.
I absolutely LOVE (!!!) being in that situation helping people committed to being their best get better.
Now…
One of the other things that made the last 101 hours so special for me was getting to witness all the work Michael and Jeff and the Heroic Workshop Instructor training team put into action.
Quick context…
One of our biggest challenges since launching the Heroic app has been getting people to actually USE IT!
We KNOW (!!!) from THOUSANDS of qualitative testimonials (+ app reviews!) AND from the randomized controlled trial study we did with Sonja Lyubomirsky that THE APP WORKS.
But…
Only if you work it.
Getting people to fully use the Heroic app has been and will remain one of our biggest creative challenges.
And…
It’s hard to put into words just how exciting it is for me to KNOW that we figured out how to quickly and effectively get people into the app so that they can start using it to change their life.
As I watched Michael lead the Chicago Bulls coaching staff through the process of creating their top 10 “Hero Bars” (after I tee’d it up the day before with two hours of “theory”) then…
As I personally coached Billy Donovan through the process of taking those highlights of him at his absolute best to set up his Big 3 with the virtues he embodied and the behaviors he engaged in when he was at his best so he could make that prior best his new baseline then…
As I used HIS PHONE broadcasted on the big screen to show the rest of the coaches how to set up THEIR Big 3 such that EVERYONE left ready to dominate (I just got goosebumps typing that) something clicked for me.
I could FEEL the power of our 100+ (soon to be 510+ then 1,000+++) Heroic Workshop Instructors doing THE SAME EXACT THING (!!!) for THEIR communities.
This, my dear Heroic friend, is one of THE key ways we will change the world—starting with YOU (!!!!) and me and all of us.
Our Coaches and our Heroic Workshop Instructors are the Force Multipliers of our movement.
Which is why we are so proud of what we’ve achieved so far with both our Heroic Coach certification program and our Heroic Workshop Instructor Training certification.
And…
Why we are SO FIERCELY COMMITTED to being the absolute best we can be (= the absolute best in the world!) at helping YOU activate YOUR Heroic potential so you can become the Hero of your own life so you can become the Guide who helps the people in YOUR COMMUNITY activate THEIR Heroic potential.
As I said in my “How We’re Going to Change the World 101” talk at our recent training in Austin, our strategy is simple…
We train Heroes who become Guides who train Heroes who become Guides who train Heroes who…
The ripples of this impact aggregated and compounded over the next 2-5-10-25-50-100-250+ years can, quite literally, CHANGE THE WORLD.
Now…
I didn’t start typing this planning to bring it back to our next Heroic Workshop Training (and Heroic Coach!) programs but I will.
If you’d like to TURN PRO and GO NEXT LEVEL in your life and feel called to be in a room helping others activate their Heroic potential, we’d be honored to have you join us.
Nearly one thousand people (!!!) said they wanted to join us in Athens this Fall.
(Which is mindbogglingly amazing to me (😳 🤯) and representative of just how passionate our community is about making a true difference in the world WHILE following our Heroic Partnership model: having fun together, getting better together, creating value together, and changing the world together!)
The Athens event is almost certainly going to sell out from the people who have already expressed interest.
We’d be honored if you joined us.
And…
If you’d like to explore our 300-day, scientifically-validated Coach training and certification program…
And how we can help you to forge excellence, activate your Heroic potential, fulfill your destiny, and change the world with us…
Check out Module O (for free) in the brand new Coach tab of the Heroic app, or learn more about the program at heroic.us/coach.
That’s all I’ve got.
That and…
Go Fighting Irish! ☘️ 🏈
And go Bulls!! 🐂 🏀
🙌!! 🤓!!
Day 1. All in.
Let’s go!
🙌!!
B
P.S. As we were wrapping up our second day of work with the Bulls coaching staff (and nearly SEVEN total hours with Arturas and Billy), a couple of the assistant coaches were telling us how much they appreciated our work and how powerful they thought it was.
I got goosebumps typing that.
I asked them WHAT they found most powerful.
Note: I always ask that so I can make sure we do MORE of that!
They said, in short, that they’ve done a LOT of work over the prior decades and that what we created was brilliantly practical.
Goosebumps again.
At that moment, I said: “THIS is what we’ve trained for.”
I typed that with a smile. And tears in my eyes.
THIS MOMENT is what Alexandra and Michael and I and the team have trained for.
And doing it with YOU gives me so much joy. 🙏
Day 1. All in. LET’S GO!
P.P.S. I know this is already ridiculously long (cue Maui “You’re welcome!” 😆) and…
ONE more thing…
When we finished our Notre Dame football workshop, Coach Freeman (goosebumps yet again!!) got up and wrapped everything up with a fiery speech in which he told the guys, in short, that what we discussed was going to be a big part of their season and not just a warm and fuzzy inspiring talk they were going to forget a couple days later.
Then he said something along the lines of…
“Brian likes to wrap up his Heroic +1s by saying DAY 1. ALL IN. LET’S GO!”
Then he continued…
“And I’m telling you right now… IT’S DAY 1. WE’RE ALL IN. LET’S GOOOOOOO!!!!”
Shoot. I got goosebumps typing that, feeling Coach Freeman’s SOUL FORCE.
Time for me to go hammer some burpees or something. I’m all fired up. Haha. 🔥!!! 😳!!!
P.P.P.S. As discussed in a recent email, another thing that’s a big deal for us right now is closing our round of financing.
Here’s the short story on what’s up: https://wefunder.com/updates/173884
(NOTE: the SEC says we can only share the details on Wefunder!)
If you’d like to become an Early Stage Heroic (or increase your investment!) before the round closes, cruise on over to Wefunder: https://wefunder.com/heroic
If you are an accredited investor and would like to invest $25,000+ (we’ve had 140+ Heroic investors do that including 50+ who have put in over $100,000!), you can let us know here and we’ll follow up with how to make that happen.
Appreciate you. Let’s go!
P.P.P.P.S. Any time we talk about our crowdfunding round, our attorneys remind us that we need to include this bit of legalese so here we go…
