Heroes!
Michael here. 👋
Happy Sunday.
I’m typing this from Gate C18 in Phoenix Sky Harbor International airport.
Brian, the team, and I just gave our final soul hugs and high fives to the second wave of Heroic Workshop Instructors to complete their candidate training and head back to their local communities as Hero > Guide and Local Leaders.
It’s hard to put into words just how humbling and inspiring it is to feel the growing power of our movement as more and more heroes answer the call to BE the hero we’ve been waiting for. (More on that below.)
Last night, we also celebrated the launch of Heroic Arizona.
As Brian shared, the evening was absolutely extraordinary.
The highlight was hearing the Heroic story of Rodney Smith and how our platform is helping him to be the hero of his own life and a guide for others. (Check out Brian’s note for more.)
With impeccably timed (and unplanned!) synchronicity, the powerful stories shared throughout the weekend from Heroic Workshop Instructors and Heroic Arizona members also served to reinforce the theme of the past two Heroic +1s:
Coelho’s #1 Lesson - We Are ALL Manifestations of the Divinity of God
And..
Changing Your Story - YOU Are an Elite Performer (PERIOD!)
On top of all that, we also have TWO new (extraordinary and extraordinarily inspiring!) Philosopher’s Notes, as we OVERLOAD with goodness heading into Q4.
Again…
YOU are the hero we’ve been waiting for.
Here’s some ancient wisdom, modern science, and practical tools to help you activate your Heroic potential, so that we can change the world, together.

1. My Name is Tani
The first new Note this week is on My Name Is Tani… and I Believe in Miracles by Tanitoluwa Adewumi, Kayode Adewumi, Oluwatoyin Adewumi, and Craig Borlase.
“My name is Tani, and my family likes to say I like to ask a lot of questions. They’re right. I like puzzles. I like riddles. I like trying to figure out why things happen and how things work.
But things have been different lately. Instead of asking the questions, I’ve been the one trying to answer them. A lot of people have wanted to know all kinds of things about me and my life. They want to know what life was like for me and how I feel about the way things have changed. They want me to tell my story, and I want to tell it, but there’s never enough time to say everything that’s in my head.
So this book is going to be my answer.”
— Tanitoluwa Adewumi from My Name Is Tani
Check out the full Note here. And I HIGHLY recommend the MP3 version! (But only if you’re ready to FEEL the power of a Heroic family living an inspiring journey!)
2. 10 to 25: The Science of Motivating Young People
Second, we have 10 to 25: The Science of Motivating Young People by David Yeager, PhD.
This book is a fantastic resource for parents, teachers, coaches, and anyone striving to raise the next generation of heroes.
David Yeager, PhD, is one of the most respected developmental and social psychologists in the world, and his research has revolutionized how we understand and support young people. Carol Dweck herself praises it, saying, “This book will change millions of lives.”
Yeager’s science-backed insights, validated by both research and real-world applications, provide invaluable guidance for anyone who works with or raises children.

3. Heroic Ripples Spreading

Our brand promises are simple:
And…

4. Antifragile 101
What happens when you get hit by life’s challenges?
Do you break? Are you resilient? Or… are you antifragile—such that you get STRONGER the more life kicks you around?!
In Antifragile 101 you’ll learn how to get comfortable being uncomfortable as you step into your infinite potential and use everything to fuel your heroic growth.
Big Ideas we cover include approaching obstacles as challenges instead of threats, shifting from victim to hero, emotional stamina, and the only way to access your infinite potential.
5. Community highlights
A few favorites from another week of moving from Theory to Practice to Mastery, Together!!!
- Lazolia’s appreciation of My Name is Tani: “Thank you, @brian for pushing forward and not removing the emotions. 🥹 Such a blessing to know of amazing stories of resilience, faith and perseverance through notes like this.” We couldn’t agree more, Lazolia!
- Tania’s incredibly inspiring parent-teacher conference story: “The teacher continued, sharing that Tate struggles with almost everything… But my little girl stands up for him. She encourages him and treats him with love, kindness and respect… I thanked the teacher for all she does and for sharing that story because I teach the girls the Heroic principles.” 👏 and 🙇, Tania! Here’s to raising the next generation of heroes. Together. TODAY!
- Angela conquering obstacles to reach her Energy-best: “After 1.5 years of suboptimal health and 3 surgeries, I have regained my strength and manged to go from barely walking 1/2km to jogging 5km in under 30 minutes. 💪” That’s like you, Angela! 🤩
