That’s a great creative challenge! What algorithm can we build to support a higher level of forgiveness? And then how can we apply that tool RIGHT in the moment we need it?

Let’s start with what’s within our control: ourselves. Both our physical energy (Paraphrasing Wayne Dyer, “If you want to be a good spiritual being, first be a good animal.”) as well as our ability to have self-compassion and self-forgiveness.

Control the controllable things first (eating, moving, sleeping, being present, breathing…) and the complex things will come more into alignment as a result of cultivating a higher-level of consciousness.

Know that we’re most likely to find fault with others when we’re out of integrity with ourselves. If that happens, practice self-compassion and self-forgiveness by remembering common humanity and striving to do better moving forward.

Get clear on your own values, and then ruthlessly commit to them. Live in alignment with what you know to be true for you.

Let’s also use previous experiences as data: when you were most compassionate and forgiving in the past, what were you doing?

Considering all of that: how are you going to apply this? If you find yourself wanting or needing to practice forgiveness, then what will you do?
