Heroes!

This is Brian with a special message. 👋 🫡

I started typing this in an airport in Bahrain. I finished typing it on the side of the road in the country outside Austin.

(Check out my LinkedIn post and Heroic post as well!)

I just had the sacred honor of spending several days in the Red Sea with the 5,000 Heroic Warrior Sailors on the USS DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER—the aircraft carrier that has been battling the Houthis 24/7 for the last 4+ months.

I led a series of micro-Heroic workshops with everyone from the Captain and his command team to the youngest sailors.

It's hard to put into words just how humbling and inspiring it was to spend time with these men and women working so hard and sacrificing so much to defend the freedoms on which our flourishing are so dependent.

I will be sharing +1s on the experience soon, including wisdom I gained from spending time with Captain “Chowdah” Hill and learning more about his "Way of the Warrior Sailor" command philosophy.

I feel extraordinarily blessed to do what I do and equally grateful to do it with all of you.

I have NEVER (!) been more fiercely committed to doing EVERYTHING in my power to fulfill our mission to help create a world in which 51% of humanity is flourishing by the year 2051.

With gratitude, hope, wisdom, discipline, courage, and love I say...

HEROES UNITE. 🫡 🇺🇲 🌎 🌍

P.S. Check out some of the videos at the bottom of this page.

P.P.S. Captain Hill was gracious enough to post this note on X:

P.P.P.S. As I’ve said in different ways many times lately but to deliberately repeat…

My intention with my discussions of my support of the individuals who serve within the U.S. military is to focus on the everyday PEOPLE who are choosing to serve and sacrifice, not the complex, nuanced politics involved.

I value the freedom I enjoy and I do not take the everyday people who have dedicated their lives to create and preserve that freedom for granted.

She is not perfect (there are no perfect people, relationships, or countries!!!), but I am an extraordinarily proud and grateful American and I believe that, at its best, America can (and must!) help lead a more noble and virtuous world.

And I am committed to doing everything I can to bring out the best in those on the frontlines, behind the scenes, and everywhere in between.

It’s Day 1. We’re ALL IN. Let’s go, Heroes!
