Part I:
Heroes!!
This is Brian with a quick note and an exciting invitation. 👋
First…
I’m still buzzing from our event 10 days ago. The whole week was transformational—for me, for everyone there, for our movement, and for our Public Benefit Corporation.

Now…
Our inaugural Heroic Workshop Instructor Training was SUCH a transformational experience (and SUCH a critical component to our Mission—these 100+ Heroic Coaches from 33 states and 13 countries are our FORCE MULTIPLIERS!) that we decided to IMMEDIATELY lean into our next events.
To be clear, we already knew that we would do two more big events this year, but we decided to (goosebumps!) go NEXT NEXT NEXT LEVEL with our next one.
Michael will fill in the details later this week…
But…
Here’s the short story.
We’re going to Athens.
It’s going to be Heroic.
Six days.
Equal parts Heroic training and exploring Athens.
We’ll be touring Aristotle’s Lyceum and Plato’s Academy along with the ancient ruins of Athens.
AND…
We’re planning to spend time visiting (and training at!) the stadium in which the first modern Olympic Games were held in 1896.
😳 🤯!!
Oh!
And we might even have a special guest join us—our friend Donald Robertson who is one of the world’s leading Stoic scholars and practitioners.
As you may know, Donald wrote How to Think Like a Roman Emperor and The Philosophy of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
He’s the guy who gave us the whole Warriors vs. Librarians distinction and introduced me to The Choice of Hercules.
Goosebumps typing that as I imagine being in the same place Socrates used to tell that story AND the same place his protégé Plato taught AND the same place where *his* protégé Aristotle taught AND the same place where Zeno founded Stoicism back in the day.
Btw…
Did you know Zeno studied at Plato’s Academy for a decade before creating Stoicism? True story.
Again, Michael will fill in the details.
For now…

It’s not possible for me to be any more fired up about this. It’s going to be HEROIC.
Note: We plan to do an international event every year but… I’m pretty sure this will be the ONLY time we’ll be in Athens so if this sounds like a good time, Alexandra and Michael and I (and the kids!) would LOVE (!) to see you in Athens this Fall.
Fun story...
When I told one of our big Heroic investors about this trip the other day (who is a fan of both Heroic and Stoicism!), he told me he’d move the world to make it happen.
Then he asked if some of the team and I wanted to join him on his jet to fly out there. Hah. We joyfully said, “YES, please and thank you! We’re ALL IN. Let’s go!”
Alrighty.
I just typed this midway through my meditation after my daimon whispered in my ear telling me to pause and write this.
So…
I’m heading back to that meditation. 😆
Then I’ll be putting the final touches on Heroic Public Benefit Corporation: The Executive Summary which we plan to share soon as we officially lean into closing our current round of financing.

We’re FIRED UP to start inviting the first batch of people who RSVP’d to officially join us. That email will go out early next week!!
And…

All I can say to that is WOW!!

But this is tied for first with some other Heroic things. 😂

On Monday, we get to have some fun rolling out Heroic with Coach Marcus Freeman and his Notre Dame football team and coaching staff.
It will literally be Day 1 of their preseason.
