The real problem

Nobody handed you a manual for this.

The org chart changed twice this year. AI is rewriting what your team does, and what it's for. And somewhere in the middle of it you got more scope, more people, and more of the decisions that used to be someone else's.

You're expected to be the steady one. Most days you're figuring it out in real time, like everyone else.

This masterclass is the seventy-five minutes I'd want if I were in your seat. Five practices for leading when the ground keeps moving. You'll run each one live, in the room, on whatever you're actually facing this week.

You can't lead others past where you've led yourself.

Your team reads your state before they hear your words. That's the whole reason this works on you first.

What you'll do live

Five practices, run on your own situation.

You pick one real thing you're leading through before we start. Every practice gets run on that, in the room, with Michael.

  1. Regulate

A sixty-second reset you run before the hard meeting, not after. Under pressure the body decides before the mind gets a vote.

  2. See what's true

Look straight at what's happening, without the story on top of it. Acceptance isn't approval. It's the only place a clear decision can start.

  3. See a better future

You cannot lead people somewhere you can't see. Name the better future, then the first move toward it. Hope is a skill you can practice.

  4. Find what's stable

When the org chart, the tools and the plan all move, something has to not move. The leader who knows what they stand on is the leader people stand near.

  5. Grow from the obstacle

The reframe that turns this stretch into the thing that makes you a better leader, instead of the thing that wears you down.

You'll leave with the one you're starting this week.

Who it's for

For leaders who didn't choose the change they're leading through.

Leaders and rising leaders in tech, consulting, creative and professional services. A new role, a reorg, an AI mandate, a team looking to you for a steadiness you're not sure you have yet. You are not short of information. You are short of something that holds when the ground moves.

  • You got more scope, more people, or more decisions than you had a year ago.
  • The thing you're leading through was decided somewhere above you.
  • Your team is watching how you hold it, and you can feel that.
  • You've read the books. The gap now is doing, not knowing.

No prior Heroic experience needed.

Who's teaching

Michael Balchan

CEO and Head Coach at Heroic

Michael has practiced and applied the Heroic framework every day for fifteen years, alongside founder Brian Johnson. He is the one who knows where people get stuck, and how to close the gap between knowing and doing.

The Heroic approach was measured in a randomized controlled trial by Sonja Lyubomirsky, a world-leading positive psychologist at UC Riverside: 23% more energy and a move from the 53rd to the 70th percentile of flourishing, in 30 days. It's used by Notre Dame Football, US Navy SOCOM, the Chicago Bulls, and teams in over 100 countries.

Those figures describe the Heroic approach, measured on the daily practice and the app. They are not results from this masterclass.

Questions

Is it really free?

Yes. It's a free live masterclass, and there's no card and no purchase to register.

When does it run?

It runs live several times, and you choose the session that fits your week from the dropdown when you register. Your joining details come straight back to you by email.

What actually happens in the seventy-five minutes?

Michael teaches five practices for leading through uncertainty, and you run each one live on a real situation you're facing. It's built as practice, not a lecture. You pick your situation before we start, and you leave with one practice to begin that week.

What if I can't make it live?

Register anyway and the replay goes out to everyone who signed up. Live is better, because the practices are the part you actually do rather than watch.

Do I need to know anything about Heroic first?

No. It's built to stand on its own, and you don't need any prior Heroic experience to get the full seventy-five minutes out of it.

Is this a pitch?

The teaching comes first and it's genuinely useful on its own. At the end Michael shows you The Leadership Accelerator, the eight-week program this work comes from, in case you want to go further. Staying for that part is up to you.

Bring the thing you're actually leading through.
